Hi! I'm Char Briggs-the face behind Char Briggs Photography. I'm a lifestyle photographer based in Vernal, Utah, and specialize in capturing the real, unscripted moments that tell your story-whether that's a quiet connection between family members, the excitement of a graduating senior, or the emotion of a missionary farewell.
Photography has been a passion of mine for years, but it truly took off when I started taking classes about 5 years ago. With the support of my husband Scott, my biggest cheerleader, I finally took the leap and turned my passion into a business. We've been married for 25 years, raised our boys here in Vernal, and I've loved every second of documenting their lives, especially on the sidelines of their sports and during every milestone in between.
Whether I'm out in the wild capturing Utah's breathtaking landscapes or behind the lens doing sessions, my goal is always the same; to create authentic, timeless images that reflect the beauty of your everyday life.

The heart behind the lens at Char Briggs Photography.
More than anything, I'm a proud mom of three amazing boys: Trey, Masen and CJ. They've been my biggest inspiration in life and in photography. Watching them grow up, chase their dreams, and become best friends to each other has been the greatest joy.
Trey is engaged to the sweetest girl, Makayla, and I love spending time with them- Whether it's at games, out hunting, or just hanging out as a family. Sports, the outdoors and all the little in-between moments we share are what light up my world.
Motherhood is what first sparked my passion for capturing real, meaningful moments. It taught me how fast time flies and how important it is to freeze the stages of life before they pass. That's exactly what I strive to do for every client-capture the love, connection, and story that make your family yours.
My photography covers a little bit of everything because I believe every season of life deserves to be remembered. I specialize in family sessions, couples, seniors, sports, dances, and missionary portraits. I love working with people and telling their stories through natural, meaningful images that last a lifetime.
When I'm not behind the camera with clients, you'll find me chasing light in the mountains, capturing wildlife, or showcasing the beauty of the Utah landscape-and yes my fine art prints are available for purchase too!

A few more facts about me
The photo last will always stay with me is from my niece's junior prom. I was there to take her pictures, and as she walked in the house all dressed up, her grandpa saw her for the first time. He teared up and wrapped her in the sweetest hug. She was his only granddaughter at the time, and the pride and emotion in that moment were unforgettable.
What makes that photo even more meaningful is that he passed just a few months later. Now, that single image holds a whole lifetime of love, pride, and connection. It's powerful reminder of why I do what I do - to preserve the moments that mean everything, even when we don't know how much we'll need them later.
